About Us

Meet our incredible team members who are here to help you thrive throughout your pregnancy.

Who We Are

Mama Baby Nutrition

We are a team of dietitians specializing in pregnancy and infant nutrition based in London, Ontario. We also serve the Toronto & GTA area, as well as the rest of Ontario.

We use a non-diet, health at every size approach to help those who are trying to conceive, pregnant or postpartum, make informed choices that are best for them and their baby.

Through our one-on-one nutrition coaching we provide science-based, individualized recommendations to make the journey through pregnancy and postpartum less stressful and more enjoyable.

Our group programs provide nutrition guidance throughout pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood. They were also created to foster community with others who are going through the same stages of life. Our students learn together and lean on each other to minimize their confusion and overwhelm, and build confidence in themselves.

Our hope is to build a community of mamas and mamas-to-be, who feel both supported and safe throughout their motherhood journey.

Meet the team

Aimee Tyler-Smith, RD, BEd

Lead Dietitian

Aimee graduated from Brescia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and completed a dietetic internship at London Health Sciences Centre. She is a mama to a sweet four-year-old boy, with another little one on the way! Her passion for food and nutrition stems from growing up as a self-admitted science nerd who over time, began to realize the true power of food and nutrition.

She left her career as a high school science teacher to follow her passion, hoping to help others build a healthy relationship with food, and inspire them to create a life of wellness! Aimee has experience working with both mamas and babies, and offers services focused in pre-conception, pregnancy and postnatal nutrition up to one year postpartum.

Julie Van Osch, Volunteer

Julie is currently in her third year of Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics at Brescia University College. After having a personal experience with a Registered Dietitian, she realized the influence nutrition has on different areas of life and developed a strong passion for food science.

Outside of school, Julie is a long-time rhythmic gymnast who now enjoys teaching younger athletes the fundamentals of the sport as a certified Gymnastics Ontario coach. She also has a passion for baking, photography, horseback riding, and enjoys playing board games with family and friends. Julie is excited to gain more experience and knowledge surrounding prenatal nutrition and dietetics. She hopes to complete a Master of Applied Nutrition after her undergraduate degree and pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian in prenatal nutrition.

Hailey Belaire, RYT-200 HR and Certified Group Fitness Instructor Senior Volunteer

Hailey is currently a fourth-year student at Brescia University College in the Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics program. Prior to being in the nutrition program, Hailey was enrolled in Health Sciences at Western University Main Campus. After some thought and consideration, she determined it was not the best fit for her and decided to peruse her passion
for food and nutrition at Brescia.

Along with nutrition, Hailey also has an adoration for yoga and group fitness. She is a certified Mossa Group Fitness instructor and a 200-HR certified Yoga instructor. Hailey is very excited to learn more about nutrition and the field of dietetics. In her spare time, she loves to bake, go to her family cottage, and take part in outdoor fitness classes. She is also a proud dog mom to a Newfoundland-Poodle puppy named Bear. Hailey hopes to soon be accepted to a dietetic internship once she completes her undergraduate degree and eventually peruse a career as a Registered Dietitian.

Spencer Wentzell, Volunteer

Spencer is currently a second-year student at Brescia University in the Nutrition and Dietetics program. She is working towards becoming a Registered Dietitian and hopes to work with youth and families, focusing on helping them build a healthy relationship with food.

Dietetics is a second career choice for Spencer; she was a dental assistant at a surgical office before going back to school to pursue her passion for health and nutrition. Spencer loves to cook and bake using recipes or creating something of her own. She would love to help others find the love of cooking.

Spencer’s other passions include hiking, being outdoors, and travelling; she hopes to see more national and provincial parks in Canada and the United States.

Spencer is excited to gain experience volunteering for The Nest and looks forward to using this experience in her future career. She is always down for an adventure or learning something new and can’t wait to experience what this next chapter has to offer.
