About Us
Meet our incredible team members who are here to help you thrive throughout your pregnancy.
Who We Are
Mama Baby Nutrition
We are a team of dietitians specializing in pregnancy and infant nutrition based in London, Ontario. We also serve the Toronto & GTA area, as well as the rest of Ontario.
We use a non-diet, health at every size approach to help those who are trying to conceive, pregnant or postpartum, make informed choices that are best for them and their baby.
Through our one-on-one nutrition coaching we provide science-based, individualized recommendations to make the journey through pregnancy and postpartum less stressful and more enjoyable.
Our group programs provide nutrition guidance throughout pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood. They were also created to foster community with others who are going through the same stages of life. Our students learn together and lean on each other to minimize their confusion and overwhelm, and build confidence in themselves.
Our hope is to build a community of mamas and mamas-to-be, who feel both supported and safe throughout their motherhood journey.
Meet the team
Aimee Tyler-Smith, RD, BEd
Lead Dietitian
Aimee graduated from Brescia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and completed a dietetic internship at London Health Sciences Centre. She is a mama to a sweet four-year-old boy, with another little one on the way! Her passion for food and nutrition stems from growing up as a self-admitted science nerd who over time, began to realize the true power of food and nutrition.
She left her career as a high school science teacher to follow her passion, hoping to help others build a healthy relationship with food, and inspire them to create a life of wellness! Aimee has experience working with both mamas and babies, and offers services focused in pre-conception, pregnancy and postnatal nutrition up to one year postpartum.

Angelika Promny-Tavares, Volunteer
Angelika is currently a fourth year student at Brescia University College in the Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics program.
Angelika has always been passionate about understanding the role that food plays in our overall health and wellbeing. However, her journey towards this field was not a straight path. Originally, she planned to pursue a kinesiology degree with a focus on the biomechanics of movement and exercise. It was only through studying abroad that she discovered her true passion for nutrition. She became fascinated with the relationship between food and culture and health outcomes.
Outside of the classroom, her love for the outdoors and living a life of adventure remains a constant source of inspiration. Whether she is hiking, paddle boarding, rock climbing or simply exploring new places, she believes that being active and connected to nature is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Angelika hopes to teach nutrition and interdisciplinary studies abroad to gain valuable experience and cultural exposure before pursuing a career as a Registered Dietitian.

Outside of school, Miranda enjoys hiking, cycling, skiing and being outside in nature. She’s looking forward to finding her next adventure while living in Banff, AB this summer. She also has a passion for cooking for others and making her own recipes. She is excited to gain experience working with The Nest and hopes to use this experience in her pursuit to become a Registered Dietitian.

Victoria Bouchard, Volunteer
Victoria is currently a third year student at Brescia University in the Nutrition program. She is working towards becoming a Registered Dietitian and hopes to work in paediatrics or sports nutrition, focusing on helping people in her community build a healthy relationship with food.

Amanda Lee, Volunteer
Amanda is in her thurd year of her Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics & Major in French for Teaching at Brescia University College. With first-hand experience of the powerful impact of food and nutrition, she was deeply inspired by the nutrition field and dedicated her studies to it. Following her research project completed in the summer of 2023, she developed a strong interest in research and advanced studies; she intends to complete her Masters in the field of nutrition. She is working towards her goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian with specific interests in oncology, prenatal, and infant nutrition.
Along with nutrition, Amanda has spent over six summers as a camp counsellor and is a long-time swim instructor. She has a passion for recipe curation, appreciating different cultural recipes, and all things health and wellness. Beyond nutrition, Amanda is most likely to be seen going for long walks in the park, trying out new recipes, or learning new languages.
